The glaze along the rim is a glaze that crystallizes in the kiln due to a chemical reaction.
All along the border when you look closely you see the crystal beginning to form. The glaze on the mushroom cap is this gorgeous fluid slightly speckled brown that will have you in a trance looking at it.
Every firing reacts differently and creates different patterns, the result of over 50 intentional hours.
